Progressive Congressional Bills

The following is a list of the most Progressive Bills that have been introduced into either the House or Senate during the 115th US Congress.
These bills were chosen based on the issues put foward by the Bernie Sanders 2016 Presedential Campaign, many of which made it into the Democratic Platform. This is by no means a complete and comprehensive list of all the progressive bills introduced into congress. We are in fact looking to expand the list to give as much information on your representatives as possible. You can help us accomplish that here.
Below each bill and on each bills page you will find the democratic support that each bill has in each of the chambers.
Democratic Support means the percentage of Voting Democrats in each chamber that have either sponsored or cosponsored that bill. This percentage excludes All republicans as well as democratic delegates with no voting power.
The bills listed here are the most progressive bills that have been introduced in congress but are nowhere near as progressive as they need to be to truly solve the problems facing this country. The vast majority of these bills are half measures. For example the Affordable Housing Credit Act comes nowhere close to solving the homeless crisis in our country. Also maybe switching to 100% Renewable Energy while our congressmen are still alive instead of by 2050, might be a better way to address climate change. Keep this in mind while your looking at how little support these bills get.
